Research and Field Work

The Centre for Health and Social Justice (www.chsj.org) is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Research Officer for our organization. The Research Officer will be responsible for the implementation of research on interventions to strengthen entitlement-awareness towards universal healthcare among marginalised communities in Pratapgarh, Uttar Pradesh.

Primary Responsibilities include

 

  • Ensure quality and timely implementation of the research activities related to health entitlements and awareness.
  • Collect qualitative and quantitative data, organise participatory research.
  • Document stories, project activities, and internal and external discussions related to work areas
  • Writing reports – monthly, quarterly, and annual for all major research activities or events related to the project.
  • Developing ideas, content, and other communication materials for organisational websites, social media, IEC materials, etc.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

 

  • Computer skills, including SPSS, MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint
  • Excellent written & verbal communication in Hindi and English
  • Documentation skills
  • Skills in facilitating participatory research and engaging key stakeholders
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with and bring out the best in a team.
  • Willingness to travel.
