About Job Profile

Research and Field Work

Monitors progress of research projects and coordinates information between departmental sections. Performs a wide and complex variety of assays, test, and studies. Performs highly specialized and advanced experiments. Collects, prepares, analyzes, and evaluates specimens and/or tissue cultures.

Primary Responsibilities include

 

  • Conceptualise project ideas that are innovative, practical and feasible and the need of the hour, and convert them into firm proposals for submission to externally funded agencies from time to time.
  • Networking, liaising and corresponding (both offline and online) with external funding agencies for securing projects.
  • Once projects are secured, being part of the project team in implementing these projects on the ground.
  • Liaising / corresponding with the funding agencies for smooth execution of the project and monitoring progress of the projects (both offline and online).
  • Scrutinizing online national and international tenders and submitting them as per the given deadlines, from time to time.
  • Being part of project teams and assisting them in the necessary project related activities, including research, data collection, tabulation, analysis, etc.
  • Research and documentation of news, reports, articles for WISE’s bi-monthly, renewable energy and climate magazine.
  • Research and collection of technical data, information and statistics for WISE’s Renewable Energy Portal.
  • Any other important assignments as provided from time to time.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

 

  • Excellent command in writing and speaking in English.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint is mandatory.
  • Working as a team member with a positive and flexible attitude.
  • Taking responsibility and initiative head-on and at the same time, having the urge to learn and grow in the organisation, making valuable contributions to the growing work on climate and sustainability in the country.
