About Job Profile

Research and Field Work

TERI is looking for an Architect/Engineer with minimum 4 to 6 years of experience to join our multi- disciplinary team for a series of projects related to Building Science research and Green Building Consultation.

The ideal candidate should hold a Master’s degree in Environmental Studies / Building Performance Sustainability or equivalent from a recognized university and possess excellent technical, research, and communication skills.
 

Primary Responsibilities include

 

  • Perform technical analysis and reporting related to the project deliverables. It may include daylight simulations, thermal comfort analysis, CFD analysis, Water and waste management, Life Cycle Assessment and analysis on IAQ etc.
  • Perform Primary and Secondary research and data review as desired by the project deliverables.
  • Possess good knowledge of Building Codes and Standards in India like ECBC, ENS, NBC and Model Building Byelaws.
  • Possess good knowledge of green building consultancy and documentation in GRIHA, LEED, IGBC Ratings etc. Complete experience of at least one green building certification project from start to end in independent manner is expected from candidates.
  • Possess excellent drafting and communications skills in English with an experience in report writing and proposal development.
  • Possess project management skills in the areas of expertise required with an ability to work independently and as a team player in a multi-disciplinary environment.
  • Possess the ability to meet deadlines and prioritize multiple tasks as required by the project deliverables.
  • Should be able to handle green building facilitation as expert in independent manner.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

 

  • Working knowledge of softwares including MS Office package, AutoCAD, SketchUp Building Performance
  • Simulation Software (DesignBuilder, Equest, ClimateStudio, Honeybee, Ladybug etc.) and related software.
  • Have at least one accreditation amongst GRIHA CP, IGBC AP, LEED BD + C, LEED GA , EDGE Expert , WELL Expert, etc.
  • Remuneration: As per industry standards and subjected to the level of work experience.
