About Job Profile

Project Management/Coordination

A project manager is accountable for planning and allocating resources, preparing budgets, monitoring progress, and keeping stakeholders informed throughout the project lifecycle. All of this takes place within the framework of achieving a company's goals and achieving their vision.

Primary Responsibilities include

 

  • Build social and economic resilience of women stewards in Sundarban.
  • Strengthening of women groups for micro-entrepreneurship model, SWOT analysis for livelihoods augmentation.
  • Building the capacity of women leaders, and individuals and strengthening organizations through training sessions, workshops, and exposure visits.
  • Development of group dynamics for linking the groups with the FPC, and development of a business plan for 23 Women groups.
  • Work with the Monitoring, Evaluation Action, And Learning (MEAL) framework.
  • Maintaining coordination with International and National experts.
  • Maintaining liaison with Government Line departments at District, State, and National levels.
  • Formulating a strategy for natural resource management and facilitating the implementation. Facilitating the activities and monitoring of FPOs, SHGs, etc
  • National and Global Frameworks for Ramsar sites, with a result-based matrix (RBM)
  • Coordinate with community workers, Zonal Managers, and Women groups to prepare comprehensive situation-specific plans for them and oversee the implementation of the livelihood-related plans created for them individually, zone-wise, and overall.
  • Supervision, Monitoring, Evaluation of the various parameters of the project cycle.
  • Design and lead various surveys related to biodiversity, livelihoods, socioeconomic, etc and prepare analytical reports for advocacy and planning.
  • Writing reports (Annual, half-yearly, Completion) and contents of pamphlets, brochures etc for disseminating lessons learned/case studies/policy documentation, etc

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

 

  • Knowledge about National and Global frameworks/guidelines in Wetland management, Climate change,
  • Able to work in multi-socio-cultural, socio-economical, and socio-political circumstances.
  • Possess leadership quality and professionally manage the project team with an inclusive approach.
