About Job Profile

Project Management/Coordination

Project Coordinator - Entrepreneurship & Skilling is to be primarily contracted for 11 months (may be extended as per need/ requirement) to support the project located in Talwandi Saboo Block in Bathinda District, Punjab.

  • Lead all project interventions with respect to identification and promotion of relevant skill building initiatives. 
  • Prepare detailed strategy and implementation plan for promotion of skilling, upskilling and employment creation efforts.
  • Explore convergence opportunities with nodal government bodies and training partners. 
  • Explore placement and enterprise opportunities.

 

Primary Responsibilities include

  • Lead all project interventions with respect to identification, adoption or formation, capacity building of participants on life skills, digital literacy, financial literacy, entrepreneurship, and life skills.
  • Lead all project interventions with respect to identification and promotion of potential enterprise, skilling, and employability enhancement.    
  • Designing and conducting relevant market research / value chain studies / to identify potential enterprise activities, mapping demand driven skills and develop business plans for enterprises.
  • Conduct training of trainers and training of participants on relevant thematic areas including life skills, digital literacy, financial literacy, entrepreneurship and life skills etc.
  • Explore relevant market linkages for supported enterprises and empanel relevant market players for forward and backward linkages.
  • Explore onboarding accredited training partners and employers for supporting capacity building of women and youth participants seeking employability enhancement and placement assistance. 
  • Designing and developing detailed training module for trainings on relevant trainings such as Financial Inclusion, Digital Literacy, Life skills, Entrepreneurship and Gender.
  • Facilitate identification and selection of Community Resource Person and train them on relevant thematic.
  • Monitor field/ on ground implementation of project activities as per project MEL framework including providing guidance to local Community Resource Persons (CRPs) on implementation quality and reporting from the villages.
  • Support the project with documentation and reporting, research, monitoring, reporting, and documentation including case studies, documenting best practices, assisting in donor reporting and support team members and project in designing required communication materials.
  • Support the project team under overall leadership of the project manager, regional hub and other specialists from CSO, in designing and organizing state level events, policy discourse and representing various forums.

  • Women entrepreneurship, employability enhancement and skilling experience.  
  • Designing and conducting training programmes on employability enhancement and entrepreneurship.
  • Proficiency in computers, especially MS Office.
  • Business acumen for identifying potential business opportunities and building sustainable enterprises.
  • Partnering with Skill Development sector, training partners for enrolling participants to skilling programs.
  • Mapping employers for placement assistance.  
  • Managing conflict among different groups and management of cadres at community level.
  • Promoting learning and knowledge management/sharing is the responsibility of each staff member.
  • Informed and transparent decision making.
  • Analyzes current situation to identify opportunities for project development.

Other responsibilities:

  • Be accountable for timely accomplishment of responsibilities under this thematic area line items with respect to the project DIP and Workplan and generate adequate Means of Verifications (MoVs).
  • Raise purchase requests (PRs) and closure of PRs in consultation with the supervisor, for products and services deemed necessary towards undertaking prior-approved project activities with discussion and prior approval of the Project Manager and Regional Hub as per CISSD Procurement Policy and functions.
  • Provide domain related documentation such as training reports, technical assessment summary, activity cost-estimation, mobilization reports, donor reporting etc.
  • Perform any other task assigned by the line manager and Regional Hub as per organizational requirement
