The Wildlife Institute of India (WII) is an internationally acclaimed Institution that works towards strengthening wildlife conservation and management through capacity building, research, academics and advisory services. The Institute is actively engaged in research across the breadth of the country on biodiversity-related issues. WII, invites applications from Indian Nationals for the Position Project Assistant under the project “PAN India: IDWH (Endangered Species Monitoring) – Marine Turtles”.

Primary Responsibilities include

This study will involve conducting surveys for nesting sea turtles across the Indian coastline. The work will involve extensive traveling along the coast between nesting beaches of the assigned States. Assist in capacity-building workshops for forest department personnel and other stakeholders.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Work experience in coastal and marine systems.
  • Candidates need to have a valid two-wheeler driving license.
  • Fluency in English, Hindi and any one of the local languages viz., Bengali, Gujarati, Marathi, Kannada, Malayalam, Odia, Tamil and Telugu.
  • Proficiency in the use of MS Excel.
