About Job Profile

Project Management/Coordination

The candidate will provide support to Programme Manager and Leather team in implementing project activities, documentation, ensuring effective communication, and contributing to the empowerment of women in the leather industry.

Primary Responsibilities include

Implement gender mainstreaming strategies in the project

  • Implement gender mainstreaming through skill development programs and ensure equal opportunities for women. Report on gender-specific outcomes.
  • Advocate for gender equality in the development of the training center, leather product development, and working conditions. Report on how gender is being integrated into these programs
  • Documenting gender approaches with appropriate preparation of communication collaterals.
  • Create communication materials that explain the success stories and gender-sensitive approaches in supporting home-based women workers, SHG formation, tannery-based women workers, and skill development.
  • Brochures and/or presentations highlighting the importance of gender inclusion in these programs and the positive impacts on women.
  • Create communication materials showcasing the collaboration with the tannery consortium, certification of the center, and the improvements in working conditions for women in these centers.

 

Project Coordination

  • Prepare and assist in project-related documentation, including weekly, monthly, and quarterly progress reports
  • Coordinate with project team to ensure effective information flow and efficient execution of implementing gender-related initiatives
  • Coordinate between project teams working with home-based women workers, SHGs, and tannery-based women workers.
  • Coordinate the collaboration between the project teams involved in home-based women workers, SHG formation, and tannery-based women workers.
  • Facilitate collaboration with the tannery consortium to outsource work to the training center.

 

Documentation and Communications

  • Document and report on the progress of skill development programs for home-based and tannery-based women workers.
  • Create reports on the establishment and development of the training center.
  • Prepare reports on leather product development initiatives.
  • Document and report on the efforts to improve working conditions for centers.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

 

  • Knowledge of project planning and implementation.
  • Ability to translate ideas into actionable plans.
  • Efficient and precise work ethic.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) along with other strong IT skills.
  • Excellent communication and written skills in both English and Hindi.
  • Responsible and proactive attitude.
  • Team player with the ability to collaborate in diverse cultural contexts.
  • Willingness to work collaboratively with other projects and colleagues.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing conditions and rapidly changing project needs.
