Project Management/Coordination

CHRI is seeking a Program Officer to lead Strategic Partnerships and Resource Mobilization for the City Climate-Health Alliance. The Officer will be responsible for management of the Alliance which includes onboarding and managing alliance partners and working with Climate-Health stakeholders to mobilize resources for Alliance activities to improve on-ground Climate-Health outcomes in India. The position will report to the Lead- City Climate Health Alliance and will also work closely with the Climate Health and Strategy team at PATH.

Primary Responsibilities include

 Lead the development and management of Strategic partnerships for the Alliance:

• Conceptualize, develop, and lead the alliance’s partnerships in the Climate-Health ecosystem across India.
• Landscape and identify the right stakeholders (donors, governments, community organizations, private sector, etc.) to onboard as partners to the alliance.
• Explore, initiate, and facilitate partnerships with various development organizations, think tanks, government, corporates and private sector, as alliance partners.
• Develop partnerships strategy for the alliance by undertaking stakeholder surveys, needs assessments, SWOT analysis, landscape analysis, segmentation, etc.
• Develop and pitch strong value propositions for each partner segment to onboard partners for the alliance.
• Act as one-point contact to monitor and manage partnerships with various stakeholders under the alliance.
• Support in organizing key events for the alliance including launch, consultations, regular cadence meetings, and dissemination events to showcase the work of the alliance and its partners among external stakeholders.
• Undertake research, consultations, and analyses to inform strategic decisions for the Alliance.
• Support the Alliance lead in designing and developing the structure of the alliance, overall strategy, and mechanisms for managing the alliance (including governance, etc.)

 

Lead Resource Mobilization from key stakeholders for supporting Alliance activities:

• Identify crucial Climate-Health needs in India and corresponding high-impact activities that can be undertaken by the alliance and partners. Develop value proposition and identify resource requirements for these activities.
• Lead dialogue with donors/funders, non-profit organizations, and corporates, for mobilizing resources towards identified activities for the alliance.
• Develop and manage end-to-end resource mobilization and tracking mechanisms for managing support from donors/ partners to the alliance.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong understanding of donor landscape and existing networks with key public health donors is desirable.
  • Excellent in written and spoken English.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a complex environment.
  • Comfort with collaborating across all levels of leadership internally and externally.
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and thrive in fast-paced, high-pressure situations.
  • Excellent command over MS Office applications, especially MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint
  • Ability to travel around 20-30% of the time to intervention geographies.
