Project Management/Coordination

Jhpiego is hiring for the position of Program Officer- Nutrition who will be responsible to provide support to the capacity building initiative of SENU project in partnership with MoWCD. The program is aimed to increase the capacity of the ICDS workforce on various training parameters across 10 PM Utkarsh districts.

 

Primary Responsibilities include

Oversee delivery of capacity building outputs, for the allocated region through supportive supervision and field visits.
Liaise with experts delivering training sessions and lectures in coordination with the National project team and respective district ICDS officials.
Maintain professional relations with stakeholders and act as focal point for trainees answering any queries they may have and/or direct them to the right personnel within the organisation.
Ensure regular meetings with district ICDS officials for effective implementation of projects with maximum participation and completion of training courses.
Support in identification of master trainers and organising their effective training at regional level.
Providing support in conducting a capacity building needs assessment of the stakeholders and communicating findings to the reporting manager, and based on findings from the capacity building strategic plan will be developed.
Work closely with all Heads of Programmes to develop and review appropriate training materials and guidance.
Maintain clear records and data on all workshops and capacity building sessions in order to prepare activity reports on capacity building training and outputs.
To help coordinate the logistics for capacity building initiatives, including in coordinating with trainees their attendance and travel to in-person workshops.
Effectively manage all budget items related to capacity building outputs, to ensure spending is timely and consistent with donor requirements.
Support the training of assessors for evaluation of participants in order to certify them as per project plan
Regular field visits in allotted districts for in-person supportive supervision.
Support in documenting the program activities in the district & states, as per the project work plan in close coordination with project team
Performs additional duties as assigned by the organisation.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software applications;
  • Should be able to identify and solve problems that may arise during project implementation;
  • Should have excellent attention to detail to ensure that all project tasks are completed accurately and efficiently;
  • Should be able to manage multiple tasks at once and prioritise tasks based on urgency and importance;
  • Proficiency in both written and spoken English.
  • The knowledge of regional languages in both written and spoken language is desirable.
  • Diploma in administration or related fields, with minimum of 2 years’ experience in admin and /or logistics;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software applications;
  • Should be able to identify and solve problems that may arise during administrative and logistical processes;
  • Should have excellent attention to detail to ensure that all administrative and logistical tasks are completed accurately and efficiently;
  • Should be able to manage multiple tasks at once and prioritise tasks based on urgency and importance;
  • Proficiency in both written and spoken English.
