Project Management/Coordination

The Program Officer (Monitoring and Evaluation) will be responsible for ensuring effective monitoring and evaluation of the nutrition interventions across the project districts. This role involves providing technical expertise, documentation, data analysis, and monitoring to assess the project outcomes and impact. 

Primary Responsibilities include

  • Serve as the Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) expert for nutrition interventions, providing technical inputs, capacity building, and on-site support to project teams. Identify and address design and quality-related issues, collaborating with the Reporting Officer to propose field-level solutions.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive M&E frameworks for the nutrition programs and support in developing annual work plan (AWP) aligned with the overall project implementation plan (PIP). Identify key performance indicators (KPIs) and develop systems for tracking and reporting on them.
  • Design data collection tools, surveys, and methodologies to measure project progress and outcomes. Conduct &/or support assessments, including baseline, midline, and endline surveys, collaborate with external partners and government agencies on data collection and reporting.
  • Design and deliver training programs for project staff and field workers on data collection and reporting mechanisms. Oversee data collection, data entry, and data quality control and validation processes.
  • Analyse project data and generate regular reports on project performance.
  • Ensure the timely submission of project reports to relevant stakeholders, including monthly/quarterly/annual MIS, narrative reports, case studies, and monitoring/assessment reports etc.
  • Contribute to project learning and adaptation based on M&E findings.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned by the Reporting Officer, in line with project demands.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

 

  • Prior experience of project implementation plan, annual work plan, logical framework, M&E framework development.
  • Experience in nutrition programs, particularly in the treatment and prevention of SAM and MAM children as well as food fortification strategies and techniques.
  • Prior experience of working with the government departments (ICDS, DWCD, Health and/or MDM) will be preferred.
  • Ability to travel regularly to project sites in remote locations.
  • Good interpersonal skills and a team player.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting.
  • Adaptability and the ability to work in a dynamic project environment.

About Organisation

Centre for microFinance (CmF) is a not for profit organization set up jointly by a group of development practitioners and academicians in conjunction with the Tata Trusts, Rajasthan state government departments and NABARD in the year 2007. It was conceptualized as a resource organization to catalyse the growth of  the community-based microfinance and rural livelihoods in Rajasthan.

Training and capacity building of community institutions, government and non-government agencies, research and knowledge dissemination and direct implementation have been the key functions of CmF to achieve its objective.

Since 2015, CmF has expanded its functional domain to include education, skilling, nutrition, water and sanitation. To scale up the learnings of its work, CmF currently serves as a technical partner to the state government’s rural livelihoods and education programs. CmF has MoUs with the Govt. of Rajasthan for multi-thematic intervention to enhance the quality of life of the poor, particularly the underprivileged and tribal communities in Rajasthan.
 
CmF has been implementing maternal and child health and nutrition interventions in Sirohi district with the focus on strengthening the public health system mainly Anganwadis and rural institutions through training and handholding support to the frontline workers and creating awareness among the community through counselling sessions and Participatory Learning and Action (PLA) meetings.

CmF has also extended technical support to the Sirohi district administration for their malnutrition and maternal anemia prevention initiatives in the district. CmF collaborated with the Rajasthan Grameen Aajeevika Vikas Parishad (RGAVP)for strengthening the activities under its Food, Nutrition Health and WASH (FNHW) initiatives.
