Jhpiego is hiring for the position of Program Assistant - Nutrition who will be responsible to provide support to the nutrition team administratively. The program is aimed to increase the capacity of the States/UTs to meet the nutrition targets to transform the lives of millions of people by improving the overall status of nutrition in the country.

 

Primary Responsibilities include

  • Provides administrative support to the team by organising schedules, arranging appointments, managing emails, maintaining files and records, and drafting documents;
  • Provides logistical support to the team by arranging meetings, conferences, and workshops, managing event logistics, coordinating travel, preparing materials, managing inventory, coordinating shipments, and ensuring timely product delivery.
  • Communicates with vendors, partners, donors, and team members to ensure smooth operation of administrative and logistical functions.
  • Takes notes and minutes during project meetings.
  • Support in documenting the program activities in the states, as per the project work plan in close coordination with the nutrition team
  • Performs additional duties as assigned by the organisation.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software applications;
  • Should be able to identify and solve problems that may arise during administrative and logistical processes;
  • Should have excellent attention to detail to ensure that all administrative and logistical tasks are completed accurately and efficiently;
  • Should be able to manage multiple tasks at once and prioritise tasks based on urgency and importance;
  • Proficiency in both written and spoken English.

 

Other Information:

  • Ability to develop productive working relationships with multicultural team members, agencies, stakeholders and other organisations.
  • Ability to handle a variety of assignments under pressure of deadlines.
  • A high degree of professionalism and ability to deal sensitively with confidential material;
  • Fluency in spoken and written English and Hindi is required.
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 30% of his/her time.

The program is aimed to increase the capacity of the ICDS workforce on various training parameters across 10 PM Utkarsh districts.
