Monitoring, Evaluation and Assessment

Monitoring and Evaluation Specialists are responsible for designing, developing, and implementing strategies to measure the effectiveness of programs and services. They must have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as strong communication and organizational abilities.

Primary Responsibilities include

  • Work closely with the TL & other team members & M&E Expert for data extraction from various platforms – IDSP/IHIP -IT units/portals and provide necessary inputs for review and DLI verification
  • Review of available information.
  • Data Analysis.
  • Review and finalize the data collection formats for quality data collection to ensure the adequacy, accuracy, and legitimacy of data.
  • Identify and flag issues in data collection and provide solutions to mitigate and resolve them.
  • Provide technical leadership and support for overall M & E requirements.
  • Develop the approach and methodology for the IVA team to verify achievement of DLI targets along with the M&E expert; assist in field level data collection and coordination of field-level data collection activities
  • Assist with reports and data extraction.
  • Creation of a dashboard for effective data management.
  • Ensure rules and procedures for data sharing.
  • Ensure digital databases and archives are protected from security breaches and data losses.
  • Troubleshooting data-related problems and authorizing maintenance and modifications.
  • Perform any other relevant task assigned by Team Lead/Project Director/MOHFW/Donor
  • Experience of working with MOHFW/at state-level with Department of Health and Family Welfare advantage.
  • Experience in gathering, collating and managing data is required.
  • Basic knowledge of Documentation and maintaining Data bases is required.
  • Generating and exporting data, reports spreadsheets and documents as required.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent understanding of Health Systems, and pandemic issues.
  • Proficiency in data capturing and use of softwares including spreadsheets, MS office, MS Access, SPSS, STATA, etc. Proficiency in monitoring and rewiring data bases and correcting errors or inconsistencies.
  • Ability to manage and process high volumes of data accurately; Good understanding of different data bases
  • Good understanding of HMIS and other data portals such as IDSP and HWC portal Excellent typing abilities, and Excellent spoken and written English and Hindi skills.
  • Ability to travel.
