About Job Profile

Support and office management

The Medical Officer (MO) leads service delivery in a community-friendly and stigma-free environment to the community members and works in close coordination with the Clinic Coordinator and is a key member of clinic team.

The MO examines the patients, advises required investigations, reviews and prescribes the treatment. It includes referral services such as surgical interventions.

Primary Responsibilities include

 

  • To provide clinical consultation to all the patients visiting TAAL+IHC. Prescription, Laboratory investigation and referral.
  • To provide clinical consultation to all the patients visiting TAAL+LAC. Prescription, Laboratory investigation and referral.
  • To do counseling of all the patients visiting IHC & LAC.
  • Ensure all information provided regarding counseling aspects. Good rapo building with all clients."
  • Ensure timely followup of the patients scheduled for visit.
  • To take immediate followup of the clients who didn’t turn up on their scheduled date of visit, in coordination with Data manager and Counselor"
  • To ensure maintenance of all the records in prescribed format like UBQ etc.
  • To help data manager in the maintenance of UBQ Software/MLL, etc.
  • To take charge of all the data related activities in the absence of Data Manager"
  • Ensure data analysis and bridge gaps in coordination with Project Coordinator
  • "Co-ordination with all NGOs, CBOs and all other institutions that are working for HIV and AIDS and connected with TAAL+ IHC.
  • Co-ordination of results with the YRG laboratory at Chennai.
  • Monitoring the patient flow at the center."
  • To get trained on latest updates on NACO guidelines, for effective implementation at the IHC.
  • Help staff in their capacity building of the domain knowledge."
  • Ensure timely monitoring and forecasting of consumables
  • Ensure coordination with, and updates to all the stakeholders.
  • Ensure reporting of all the activities during the month to the stakeholders i.e YRG Care, MSACS, JHU etc.
  • Help Data manager to update the essential software and MLL for work done during the month.
  • To ensure timely updates to Project coordinator and take guidance for all the activities.
  • To ensure timely completion of tasks allotted.

ACCELERATE
 
ACCELERATE, a USAID- funded HIV/AIDS program, aims at improving health outcomes among key populations in India. The ACCELERATE team provides technical assistance (TA) to National, State, and District HIV/AIDS programs to deliver comprehensive HIV prevention and treatment services to vulnerable populations including people living with HIV, key populations (KP) and their partners; and Orphan and Vulnerable Children (OVC). The effort is being led by Johns Hopkins University and includes other consortium partners including The Fenway Institute (TFI), YR Gaitonde Centre for AIDS Research and Education (YRGCARE) and Blue Lotus Advisory (BLA).
 
The overarching goal of the ACCELERATE program is to implement, evaluate, and transition sustainable and novel models of HIV testing and care. The ACCELERATE program will provide technical assistance (TA) to National, State, and District HIV/AIDS programs to deliver comprehensive HIV prevention and treatment services to vulnerable populations including key populations (KP) and their partners; and Orphan and Vulnerable Children (OVC).
