About Job Profile

This Expression of Interest (EOI) seeks to onboard a skilled Media and Communications Specialist with relevant experience preferably in the impact sector. The specialist will play a pivotal role in supporting the SARIC program by ensuring comprehensive coverage of the training programs, and especially Large Systems Training Program (LSTP)/ South Asia Region – 100 (SAR-100) under SARIC TNS through various digital media formats.

These materials will be utilized for social media marketing, reporting, public relations, and news articles. Additionally, the specialist will contribute to the creation of knowledge products, such as coffee table books and brochures, podcasts, etc.

The LSTP/SAR 100 program aims to enhance the technical capacity of 100 women in the energy sector from the South Asian Region. The training outcomes will directly benefit mid-career engineering and technical women professionals within the South Asia region. A key component of the program is the Capstone Seminar Program, facilitating transnational peer learning and networking in Bangkok, scheduled for March 2024. This program encompasses various events, including introductions, abstract presentations, panels, and field visits. The consultant will develop relevant products for this training such as video testimonials, profile of the candidates, impact stories, etc.

Similar communications materials may be required to be developed for other SARIC trainings.

Primary Responsibilities include

The scope of work of the Media and Communications expert will encompass:

Photography and graphics

  • Capture compelling and high-quality photographs of the Capstone event, showcasing its dynamic aspects
  • Include diverse shots, ranging from group pictures that encapsulate group pictures and individual portraits capturing the essence of participants
  • Leverage graphic design skills.

Capturing Participants’ journey and feedback

  • Transform participant feedback into a coffee table book, ensuring it reflects the diversity of experiences and perspectives
  • Develop shareable PDFs that seamlessly integrates participant insights with suitable text and graphics, creating a visually appealing document for each training program
  • Social Media Storytelling
  • Craft engaging snippets and narratives from the capstone event for dissemination across various social media platforms
  • Utilize multimedia elements, such as photos, videos, and quotes, to encapsulate the capstone event’s energy and impact
  • Reports and Publications Coordination
  • Efficiently coordinate the creation of captivating content in the form of brochures/ publications as well as other knowledge products related to the training programs
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and project team to compile comprehensive and insightful documents.
  • Ensure content aligns with the Organization’s branding and effectively communicates the Capstone event’s significance.
  • Any additional project-related tasks as required by the Team Leader.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

 

  • Possession of relevant qualifications or extensive experience in advising on a Digital Media plan for both the training program and the capstone event
  • Proven work experience in effectively covering similar events.
  • Expertise in the development of knowledge products
  • Expertise in graphic design with proficiency in Adobe Suite
  • Good writing and editing skills
  • Availability and willingness to travel to Bangkok for the event
