•     Assume responsibility for the mechanical system aspects of specific projects/scope including design, application, test, or the preparation of specifications for systems, materials, equipment or components.
•     Design and develop tractor attachments that are optimal for steep slopes with significant rainfall geographies.
•     Prepare technical manuals, reports, procedures and deliver technical presentations to engineering, operations, projects, and local farmers.
•     Conduct site/area visits and investigate engineering problems, propose solutions and alternatives and provide recommendations
•     Apply technical knowledge toward the reduction of the cost and improvement of systems where possible and incorporate new ideas resulting from engineering/scientific progress in the field.
•     Support preparation of scope, cost, and schedules for projects/tasks.
•     Problem-solving for complex technical challenges with adaptations of engineering alternatives.
•     Verify and comply with engineering documentation standards and test procedures.

    Excellent internal (within organisation and team) and external (private stakeholders) communication skills in English.

    Willingness visit steep, rugged terrain to investigate existing conditions and design the most efficient mechanical systems.

    Experience using Excel or Google spreadsheet.

    Ability to guide fabrication of designs to meet landscape specific needs as desired.

Desirable

    Knowledge of the local language Khasi / Jaintia.

    Experience of communicating to a diverse range of audiences.

    Ability to remain calm and focused in stressful or complex situations.

    Possesses a strong initiative to solve problems, develop creative solutions, learn new methods and techniques, and seek out answers to simple and complex questions.
