About Job Profile

Communication/Information Management

The manager will be responsible for and support in ensuring efficient functioning of all environment education initiatives under Eco-Champs nationally.

This position will involve overall strategic thinking, developing and executing all environmental initiatives, coordinating partnerships, working with staffs and trainers, and ensuring the effective delivery of environmental education content to children in a variety of settings. 

Primary Responsibilities include

 

  • Ensure the objective key results of the program aligned with the organization's mission and goals are met.
  • Manage day-to-day operations of the program.
  • Recruit, train, and supervise program staff and trainers working with children and also responsible for goal setting and performance management of the team. 
  • Monitor the progress and impact of the program, collecting data, and evaluating outcomes to ensure effectiveness and make necessary program adjustments
  • Establish and maintain partnerships with schools, community organizations, and governmental agencies to increase the reach and impact of the program
  • Support initiatives including camps, fests and contests as part of Eco-Champs both at a strategy level and in leading operations
  • Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness, collecting feedback from participants and making necessary improvements
  • Develop and manage the program budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and timely reporting

  • Ability to drive outcome oriented plans through the team’s collective effort
  • Good influencing skills , people engagement, networking and listening skills
  • Good written and verbal communication skills– English
  • Good computer knowledge and MS office skills 
  • Highly resourceful team-player, who is self-driven
  • Forward looking thinker, who actively seeks opportunities and proposes solutions
  • Willingness to travel – locally and nationally

Over 10,000 children are benefiting from the programme in 2015 across 12 Indian cities with the aim of providing children with quality education to enable them become responsible and productive citizens of the future. The programme consists of English, Mathematics, Science, Robotics, Computers, Dance, Arts, Sports, Mentoring and Life skills support.

Catalyse: Transforming Citizenry
Catalyse consists of Bhumi’s civic initiatives that engage volunteers in causes like animal welfare, community welfare, disability, environment, health etc. The programmes consisting of one-off and regular volunteering activities engage over 10,000 volunteers each year in over 15 cities across India.
