About Organisation

The Dalmia Bharat Foundation (DBF) is a not-for profit organization set up in 2009 to scale up programmes and projects initiated by Dalmia Bharat Group’s CSR division. DBF is committed to executing projects that are inspired from Gandhian thoughts and in the decade since inception has implemented projects PAN India in 14 states and has touched over a million lives.

We are focussed on three key areas of livelihood, climate action (water and energy) & social infrastructure, which have risen organically from the needs of communities and are key issues material to progress. These areas are aligned to the UN Sustainable Development Goals. In short – we partner with people, protect the planet & provide social infrastructure for holistic progress.

To affect change, we create, support and sustain projects that combine in-depth long-term strategies along with short to mid-term initiatives and campaigns. As we operate in diverse locations, we adopt a flexible, multi-intervention approach that allows programmes and people to grow together and sustain each other. A robust monitoring system helps us statistically validate impact and identify opportunities to refine and expand our initiatives.
