About Job Profile

Fundraising and Partnerships

As the Chief of Partnership, Advocacy and Communication, you will report to the Representative and you will be responsible for the development and nurturing of public and private partnerships; resource mobilization; and the development, management, and implementation of an advocacy and communication strategy and associated products and activities to promote child rights and UNICEF’s mandate.

You will supervise a team composed of several colleagues specialized in partnerships and advocacy/communications. 
 

Primary Responsibilities include

1. Team management and organizational strategy

  • Organizational strategy: Support the Managing-Director in strengthening the organizational strategy and vision-building.
  • Strategy development and team monitoring for research, communications, and advocacy teams, working closely with team managers to develop and implement broader goals of the organization.

2. Representation and partnership development

  • Keep up-to-date with trends in the development sector space, and bring learnings back to the organisation
  • Represent the organization at various forums - attend conferences, meetings, and networking events to expand the organization's reach and identify new partnership opportunities. Build and maintain a strong professional network.
  • Develop and disseminate organizational messaging, both in online and offline modes, both internally within the staff and member collectives, as well as externally
  • Develop partnerships with relevant stakeholders to amplify messaging; represent the organization on external platforms. Ideate and anchor alliance of partner organizations and women’s cooperatives/collectives.
  • Design and execute local and regional consultations with various stakeholders and women’s enterprises to identify key agendas from a policy perspective.

3. Fundraising for the organization, as well as project management for all relevant projects, as directed by the Managing-Director.

  • Build and maintain a relationship with funding partners;
  • Oversee and manage projects that are housed within Research, Communications and Advocacy,
  • Ensure timely reporting on progress, internally within the organization and externally to the funder

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

 

  • Networking and partnership development
  • Excellent communication in English and Hindi, Gujarati speakers would be preferred
  • Excellent writing and presentation skills. Those with public speaking experience would be preferred
