About Job Profile

Project Management/Coordination

The Lead/APM, School Clubs, Catalyse will be part of a new initiative to drive school volunteering program empowering school students and student leaders in driving volunteering across causes in their school.

The Lead/APM, in the initial phase, is responsible for piloting projects/initiatives in Chennai to understand the dynamics of school volunteering.

Post the pilot phase, they will be expected to scale the program in the coming years.

The Lead/APM will have strategic and operational responsibilities including schools engagement, schools onboarding, student leaders recruitment/management/retention, project scoping, project scaling and facilitating a robust support ecosystem for student leaders.

Primary Responsibilities include

 

  • Lead a pilot project in Chennai to understand the dynamics of school volunteering to design the most optimal model for school volunteering
  • Design overall vision, goals and roadmap for the student leaders and their projects as part of the club
  • Lead and execute efforts to onboard schools to run the program including communication with school management and decision makers
  • Lead and execute efforts to identify, recruit and onboard student leaders from potential schools
  • Plan and execute robust support structures for student leaders and volunteers including mentoring, problem solving, partnerships and expert connections
     

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

 

  • Passionate about spreading volunteering and mobilising more volunteer leaders
  • Ability to drive outcome oriented plans through the team’s collective effort
  • Good influencing skills , people engagement, networking and listening skills
  • Good written and verbal communication skills– English
  • Good computer knowledge and MS office skills
  • Highly resourceful team-player, who is self-driven
  • Forward looking thinker, who actively seeks opportunities and proposes solutions

 

Other Information:

Reporting to: Manager, Catalyse

Designation: Lead to Asst. Prog. Manager,  School Clubs, Catalyse, based on the candidate’s profile

Scope: Full time, Willing to work flexible hours

Remuneration: Rs. 400,000 to 600,000

Expected Joining Date: Immediate

Minimum commitment: Two Years

Catalyse consists of Bhumi’s civic initiatives that engage volunteers in causes like animal welfare, community welfare, disability, environment, health etc. The programmes consisting of one-off and regular volunteering activities engage over 10,000 volunteers each year in over 15 cities across India.
