We are seeking a Junior Energy Advisor to join our team for the Indo-German Solar Energy Partnership-Innovative Solar (IGSP IN-Solar) project. The project is supported by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) on behalf of the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development. As a Junior Energy Advisor, you will play a pivotal role in planning, coordinating, and implementing project activities related to the promotion of innovative solar applications in India.

Primary Responsibilities include

 

  • Support the Indian beneficiaries and Indian partner organizations by providing guidance, advisory services and technical expertise, dealing with a wide range of cooperation partners.
  • Explore and facilitate partnerships and cooperation between the private and public stakeholders in the region and foster coordination and consultative dialogue among these to establish a quality strong partnership for project implementation.
  • Manage, monitor and report the achievements of the project.
  • Initiate, participate and facilitate networking with other international TA agencies active in the sector.
  • The Junior Energy Advisor will be responsible for the technical implementation and execution of selected activities under the innovative solar project or other activities / projects within the energy cluster.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

 

  • Professional experiences working with Public Private Partnerships (PPPs) and institutions in the public as well as the private sector; an established network with both sectors is an asset.
  • Experience in setting up capacity building measures.
  • Demonstrated ability to design and deliver communication measures for stakeholders and the public.
     

 

Other Information:

 

  • Formulation of ToR’s for covering the diverse and complex scope of the projects following sound understanding of PuR.
  • Feasibility analysis for new and innovative solar or renewable energy applications in different consumer segment.
  • Design and development of policy and regulatory framework for promotion of innovative solar and renewable energy applications.
  • Support in development of RE roadmap/white paper and support for a future GIZ project for achieving 500GW RE target by 2030.
  • Support in close cooperation with partner ministry.
  • Design and development of the framework and work plan for the development of innovative solar and renewable energy applications in regards of meeting MNRE targets.
  • Coordination with key partners for the implementation of the agreed workplan especially with innovative solar and renewable energy applications.
  • Support in innovative solar or renewable energy grid-integration studies with Discoms or other relevant stakeholders.
  • Capacity building of key stakeholders, support in organising the training.
  • Coordination with key stakeholders for obtaining energy data for the development of energy database and energy action plan.
  • Analysis of procedures/process adopted by the distribution licensees of different States for promoting rooftop solar plants.
  • Assessment of the RE potential especially distributed solar PV systems and provide implementation support to ensure on-ground system installations.
  • Support the team in coordination with project partners nationally and internationally.
  • Support the team disseminating the project outcomes.
  • Organize dedicated stakeholder consultations / events.
  • Support GIZ team in technical know-how.
  • Support technical implementation of the project activities as per the project commission.
  • Application of GIZ project management tools for effective and efficient management of the project – e. g. Operational Planning, Result Based Monitoring System, and KOMP.
  • Coordination and communication with partners and stakeholders of the project
