About Job Profile

As Innovative Financing Technical Advisor, you will identify strategies and make recommendations to improve reporting and financing flows across these state and private actors and otherwise help support the PPSAs’ financial position. You will be part of a dynamic country team that will contribute to strengthening HS4TB’s position as a leader in innovative financing for TB, build relationships with national and global thought leaders, and broker new initiatives as part of a broader trademark HS4TB innovative financing strategy. These strategies are typically focused on blended and bridge financing, but you would also explore other market-based innovative financing approaches.

The Innovative Financing Technical Advisor will be a highly motivated and entrepreneurial individual with outstanding problem-solving, analytical, project management, communication, and collaboration skills. He/she should possess a deep knowledge of the range of existing blended and bridge financing models and associated market incentives for investment in India and offer an in-depth strategic perspective on all potential financing packages for PPSAs at the product concept stage. He/she will also facilitate, lead, develop, and execute new initiatives.

In addition, he/she will present HS4TB’s technical viewpoints in public meetings and cultivate strong relationships both internally with project technical staff and externally with USAID mission staff, senior executives of companies, investors, foundations, and governmental, and multilateral non-governmental organisations. Specific activities may include the development of capital investment and cash flow strategies from corresponding financial opportunities and partner/investor identification with a focus on PPSA financing to increase access to and efficiency in the use of private capital.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Demonstrated success at setting and achieving ambitious targets.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyse and synthesise information and develop priorities, solutions, and strategies to address issues and gaps.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively under pressure, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, problem solve in a fast-paced environment, and set priorities.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand incentive structures and engage and persuade senior-level business and financial sector executives and other stakeholders.
  • Background and proven experience in investment management within public or commercial financial institutions.
  • Demonstrated success in using commercial skills and local knowledge to select, source, and structure complex deals involving a wide range of investors with different missions and purposes.
