The USAID/PepsiCo Global Development Alliance (GDA) “Investing in Women to Strengthen Supply Chains” is a global partnership that aims to make the business case for women’s economic empowerment (WEE) in agricultural supply chains. USAID and PepsiCo are working together to strengthen women’s agricultural skills and access to resources within PepsiCo’s supply chains to demonstrate the value of women’s contributions to core business and impact goals. The partnership aims to ensure that women – as farmers or workers – benefit from being directly or indirectly involved within PepsiCo’s supply chains while also being empowered within their households and communities. Together, the partners will provide evidence-based models, new on-farm approaches, and data and insights to make a practical and compelling business case for scaling investments in WEE within PepsiCo and other global companies.


The GDA is seeking candidates to serve as the Finance and Administrative Assistant for the GDA in India. S/he will support the GDA India team with all administrative operations and finance of the project and work closely with the US-based GDA Global team to ensure administrative procedures are aligned. The selected candidate will possess exceptional organisation and communication skills. This is a full-time position based in Uttar Pradesh, India, reporting to the India GDA Country Manager with accountability to the US-based GDA Project Manager.

 

Primary Responsibilities include

 Responsibilities include:

  • Support the daily administrative operations of the GDA India project.
  • Maintain accurate and complete operational and financial record-keeping and filing systems remotely.
  • Support the Country Manager in finance and operations as requested, and serve as a liaison between the India team and GDA Global team on finance, procurement, and operations.
  • Support procurement of services/goods for the project such as obtaining competitive quotes, evaluating bids, negotiating with vendors if needed, preparing procurement records and documents while ensuring project procurement policies and procedures are met.
  • Assist in correspondence, communication, and coordinating meetings between the India team, GDA Global team, PepsiCo, USAID, and other stakeholders/partners as needed.
  • Coordinate travel and logistics for the team.
  • Review and process advances, expense reports, payment requests and invoices in a timely manner.
  • Liaise with service vendors as directed by the Country Manager.
  • Ensure that all new and current staff are updated on GDA policies and administrative procedures.
  • Coordinate and assist  in arranging meetings, training and other project events as needed.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other MS Office suites
  • Strong communication skills (written and oral) in English
