About Job Profile

IT/MIS and Technology

This role would be responsible for supporting OPM’s Frameworks Project Managers and Coordinator in ensuring the successful fulfilment of OPM’s framework contracts. More specifically, this role will be vital in providing admin support across UN LTA projects

Primary Responsibilities include

 

  • Provide advice and clarify processes where frameworks necessitate a different approach from standard acquisitions (where necessary).
  • Collate performance data into Excel spreadsheets and report templates.
  • Supporting the consortium management processes across all OPM frameworks, ensuring that we adhere to those stated in the relevant Administrative Handbooks;
  • Identifying and disseminating tender opportunities to the appropriate partners and internal staff;
  • Support partners and internal staff through the tender process through the provision of standard templates and briefings,
  • Consolidate and update performance information; and
  • Maintain strong working relationships between OPM and consortium partners to ensure effective partnership working.
  • Track partners’ interest in the pipeline of projects released by the UN;
  • Distribute opportunities (call downs) as they are announced by the UN, and shared with external partners within 24 hours, securing an Evaluation Manager and Project Manager promptly; and
  • Run mini-competitions following call-downs (where necessary).
  • Call down and contract negotiation support
  • Circulate briefings and templates at key points in call-down process

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

 

  • Education to degree level (preferably in international development, social sciences or public management).
  • Excellent IT skills including high level of competence with Microsoft Office products (Word, and Excel in particular).
  • High standard of both spoken and written English.
  • Good organisational skills: ability to effectively prioritise a high number of tasks, work calmly under pressure, and to agreed deadlines
  • Ability to deal with people at all levels, evidenced in good relationship management
  • High Level of numeracy, and familiarity with basic financial documents
  • Good decision-making skills, including when to escalate matters to those more senior in the team
  • Experience of using SharePoint as a document management system would be an added advantage
