About Job Profile

Research and Field Work

The Field Manager-Conservation will undertake the following functions, in collaboration with the project lead  and within the overall organizational mandate:

Primary Responsibilities include

? Technical support for the conservation projects operational in the region, including adaptive  management as required

? Support for project management, including budget management; monitoring and delivery of  outputs; contracting with partner organizations and consultants; and internal and external  reporting

? Contribution to project development, including ideation for new/expanded projects; development  of concept notes, logical frameworks and proposals; and identification of external collaboration  opportunities

? Stakeholder relationships, including establishing and maintaining relationships with governmental  agencies; close coordination with implementation partners; and effective coordination within the  NCIS system 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

? Clear understanding of policies, laws, and mechanisms relevant to conservation in India and the  Northeast in particular

? Experience of working with governance systems across multiple scales within states  ? Well networked across relevant organizations in different parts of the country 

? Demonstrated competence in both technical and non-technical writing skills

? Multi-lingual and multi-cultural or cross-cultural experience appreciated
