About Job Profile

Research and Field Work

Field coordinators are responsible for the timely completion of work orders and field progress reports. They may also generate project reports summarizing field worker hours, service technician utilization rates, and productivity metrics. A critical element of field service activities is the safety of all workers.

Primary Responsibilities include

Organize meetings for Project Participants and groups through Community Resource Persons.
Identify locations and farmers for introducing best practices/demonstrations.
Coordinate with FPG members in identifying service providers at village level.
Facilitate the implementation of Farmer Field Schools.
Identify the training needs of the community members and producer groups.
Execution of seasonal training programs.
Build rapport with village level officials and community representatives.
Participate in FPG/VDC meetings to enable good practices in production.
Coordinate the aggregation of farm and non-farm produce for marketing through FPOs
Track the plant management practices and yield obtained for the specified crops.
Verify the data collected by community resource persons and report.
Travel to field locations and monitor the project demonstrations
Follow up on quality parameters related to the Pre and Post-Harvest practices.
Gather data related to case studies and best practices in the project location.
Submission of plans and reports periodically.
Facilitate multi-thematic interventions as per the need of the location.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Good oral and written communication and presentation skills in Telugu.
Computer proficiency with specific familiarity with commonly used Windows and MS Office software.
Problem-Solving skills and curiosity to learn new things
Demonstrated ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team environment with strong facilitation skills, and ability to analyse reports, and plan and monitor projects.
