About Job Profile

Project Management/Coordination

As Executive Procurement, individuals will establish and nurture strong connections with internal and external stakeholders so that books are ordered and procured efficiently. The responsibilities include organising import operations and ensuring that they are carried out effectively and efficiently.

This role would be responsible for all transactions related to Imports. The role will be responsible for procuring and raising purchase orders for the books imported for all three verticals: Education, ELT and Academic. This role would also be responsible for providing all relevant documents required to get clear the consignments from custom. Another key responsibility for this role would be to manage the documents for all EOU consignments.
 

Primary Responsibilities include

  • To manage procurement of Import titles for all three verticals: K 12, ELT and Academic.
  • Observing and formulating the records of activities related to imports.
  • Reviews paperwork and documents to ensure shipping, handling, storage charges, and custom fees are billed correctly.
  • Receiving, formulating, and providing the required documents needed for custom clearance.
  • To provide all relevant documents to the finance team against EOU and Import shipments.
  • To coordinate and interact with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure that appropriate standards of conduct are established and complied with.
  • Seek to maintain good relationships with suppliers to ensure continuity of supply and general goodwill towards Cambridge University Press & assessment.
  • Reconciliation and timely payment of all suppliers for Import shipments.
  • Serve as the link of communication between key suppliers and internal departments to facilitate client need fulfilment.
     

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements like import permits, third party inspection, prior shipments etc, for various regions.
  • Knowledge of shipping regulations and policies.
  • Strong Follow-up skills.
  • Ability to work under Pressure.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Excellent communication skills – verbal and written.
  • Excellent organisation skills, able to prioritise.
  • Solution orientated, decisive by nature.
  • A Good Listener – will challenge constructively and respond well to feedback.
  • Natural relationship builder with integrity, reliability, and maturity.
  • Excellent time and project management skills.
