Monitoring, Evaluation and Assessment

As the Energy Sector Associate/ Senior Associate in New Delhi, India, you will have the chance to deliver complex consulting projects and initiatives, particularly related to energy and climate transition.

Working with other members of our team, you’ll source and execute consulting engagements focused on energy sector projects, initiatives, or policies, as well as work with technical advisory leads and team members on developing new business and executing projects with clients including multilateral development banks, government agencies, utilities, and other strategic clients in the region.

During your time with us, you will also have the opportunity to support business development, i.e., development of responses to EOIs and proposals, technical approach and methodology, concept notes for client pitches, etc., and interact directly with clients; work as part of a team on complex assignment projects; and lead smaller projects.

Primary Responsibilities include

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

 

  • Demonstrable understanding of the power sector value chain and emerging development in the sector (e.g., energy regulations, energy transition, climate change, emerging technologies, etc.).
  • Proficiency in electricity tariff methodology, structure and tariff setting process.
  • Experience with financial modelling and analysis, bid advisory, and techno-commercial due diligence of power projects.
  • Demonstrable experience in generating ideas / proposals and converting them into actionable commercial engagements.
  • Proven ability to nimbly move between widely varying functions—analytical to creative, strategy to execution.
  • High level of self-awareness and humility, with excitement about confronting uncomfortable situations or new challenges.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
  • Willingness to travel internationally to project locations and conferences.
