About Job Profile

Project Management/Coordination

Act as main coordinating person or touch point between Project Authority at State level and District level regarding execution of all Horticulture related activities/works. b.

Support the Project Team in preparation and refinement of District Level Value Chain Action Plan (VCAP) for Horticultural commodities.

1. The original certificates/documents will be returned after corroboration with the self-attested copies to be brought by the

misleading/misrepresented/incomplete/false, candidature shall be liable for cancellation. In case of exceptionally talented
candidates, SPD may relax the age limit of all the mentioned positions. Application received through email shall not be
entertained and rejected.
2. The SPD, ARIAS Society reserves the right toa. In case of overwhelming response, we may with the approval of SPD, ARIAS Society conduct an written examination of the Walk
in candidates, and in that case, the candidates securing more than 60% marks in the written test shall only be interviewed for a
F2F.
b. Cancel this advertisement and/or the selection process, in parts or fully, without assigning any reason and without thereby
causing any liability to anyone.
c. Increase or decrease the number of positions mentioned above.
d. Recruit the selected incumbents in a staggeredmanner.
e. Candidates coming for the Walk-in-Interview without necessary documents (i.e Application form/Educational Certificate/Work
Experience Certificate/Salary Slip/ Offer letter of current or previous organisation, etc will not be entertained for selection
process.
3. No TA/DA shall be admissible for attending the Walk-in-interview.
4. The maximum Cost to Project (CTP) for all the above positions mentioned in the respective REoI and the Terms of References (ToR)
provided on the website of ARIAS Society at http:www.arias.in/career.html.
5. In case, sufficient candidates with requisite experience in the field cited above are not available, the Interview Panel may allow
candidates having lesser years of experience toappear before the InterviewPanel;However, if selectedthey will be offered a lower CTP.
6. Mere allowing a candidate to appear before the Interview Panel shall not necessarily mean that the candidate is qualified and
eligible for the position. The candidate’s acceptance shall be solely based on the qualifications, experience, performance in the
interview, etc. as assessed by the InterviewPanel

About Organisation

Government of Assam created the Assam Rural Infrastructure and Agricultural Services (ARIAS) Society in November 1998, as an autonomous body, headed by the Chief Secretary, Assam, as its President (Project Guidance Council) and the Agriculture Production Commissioner, Assam as the Chairman (Governing Body). The Project Coordination Unit (PCU) is the head quarter of the Society, which is headed by a State Project Director. 

The key mandate of the Society is to manage, coordinate, implement World Bank aided projects and any other externally funded projects as authorized by the State Government, and to monitor the implementation performance of the line departments of the projects.

The Assam Rural Infrastructure and Agricultural Services (ARIAS) Society is promoted by Government of Assam (GoA) and is mandated with  the responsibility  to monitor, manage and coordinate World Bank aided projects mainly in the domains of agriculture, agribusiness, rural infrastructure, citizen services etc. 

The Society has already successfully completed two World Bank aided projects  ie Assam Rural Infrastructure and Agricultural Services Project (ARIASP) from 1995 to 2004 and Assam Agricultural Competitiveness Project (AACP) from 2005 to 2015 (with additional financing). 

Both these projects have been rated satisfactory (one of the rare distinctions in World Bank Projects).

Presently, Assam Citizen Centric Service Delivery Project (ACCSDP) is on going and another project i.e. Assam Agribusiness & Rural Transformation Project (APART) is going to start implementation very soon (most likely in October, 2017)
