About Job Profile

As a deputy manager, you are an executive-level employee who works directly under the supervision of a manager, assisting them in their day-to-day duties. You are involved in large-scale planning and the execution of initiatives. You aid in coordination between various departments to ensure things run smoothly.

Primary Responsibilities include

Strategic Planning:

  • Collaborate closely with PMU to delineate clear objectives and goals for the state internship programs.
  • Develop and implement robust plans and strategies to manage effectively and improve the internship initiatives.

 

Partnership Identification & Management:

  • Proactively identify, evaluate, and foster partnerships with local institutions and organizations that can offer valuable internship opportunities.
  • Manage relationships with partners to ensure mutually beneficial collaboration and effective program delivery.

 

Documentation & Reporting:

  • Craft comprehensive reports and documents providing insights and updates on the internship programs.
  • Conduct regular reporting sessions to keep the team abreast of the programs’ progress and status.

 

Communication & Case Study Design:

  • Develop and design impactful case studies highlighting the success stories and learning experiences from the internship programs.
  • Utilize these case studies for engaging communications and social media campaigns to enhance the visibility and understanding of the internship initiatives.

 

Solution Building & Challenge Analysis:

  • Analyze and address the challenges and obstacles encountered during the internship programs.
  • Innovate and implement solutions to overcome these challenges and improve the program’s effectiveness and efficiency.

 

Monitoring & Evaluation:

  • Conduct diligent monitoring and evaluation processes to measure and analyze the outcomes and impacts of the internship programs.
  • Recommend and implement improvements based on the evaluation findings to optimize the program’s success.

 

Field Team Building & Management:

  • Recruit, train, and manage a dedicated field team supporting and promoting the internship programs.
  • Lead the team effectively to ensure that they contribute positively to the program’s goals and objectives.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Experience in community development, advocacy, industry engagement, and coordination with district-level officials.
  • Enterprising in nature with an ability to take initiative and a “make-it-happen” attitude.
  • Capacity to work comfortably in ambiguous situations, driven by a sense of curiosity.
  • Exceptional communication skills with proficiency in core business tools such as Excel, PowerPoint, and Google Sheets.
  • A good sense of humour, with the ability to laugh at failures (after putting in the best efforts to succeed), contributing to a positive and resilient work environment.

Other Information:

The Job Role Requires:

  • Engaging in extensive field travel, with an average of 15 working days per month on the road.
  • Working directly with adolescent children aged 14-19 and fresh graduates.
  • Engaging stakeholders at various levels, including schools, industries, government entities, and other relevant stakeholders as per initiative requirements.
  • Operating with minimal supervision, demonstrating self-motivation and initiative.
  • Navigating and making decisions in ambiguous and uncertain scenarios with confidence and clarity.
