About Job Profile

The Deputy General Manager leads and develops a team with operational responsibilities to ensure that the organisation achieves its business objectives.

He/She is responsible for formulating long-term business strategies to achieve profitable revenue growth

Primary Responsibilities include

 

  • Improve current processes for all existing products and develop, refine, and validate new product manufacturing processes;
  • Advising on potential product attributes for new product concepts, manufacturing capabilities, tracking food industry trends and create & manage product specifications;
  • Ensure Product Development follows Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Good Laboratory practices (GLPs), and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP);
  • Conduct required R&D for new product development, process flow, recipe etc.;
  • Enhance current processing and mixing unit up to global standard;
  • Optimize current and future production line for maximum efficiency and minimum wastage;
  • Train key personnel on product and process optimization;
  • Mentoring the New product development team with necessary inputs especially for Value Engineering and developing new products according to market trend or to meet specific customer requirement;
  • Establish a safeguarding culture across all level of the programme by implementing the safeguarding policy. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment;
  • Responsible to ensure team members are appropriately trained, supported and have access to resources regarding issues that are identified and actioned in accordance with the safeguarding policy and procedure;
  • Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.
