A data analyst collects, cleans, and interprets data sets in order to answer a question or solve a problem. They work in many industries, including business, finance, criminal justice, science, medicine, and government.

Primary Responsibilities include

  • Support National M&E Manager in development and implementation of project M&E.
  • Data analyst should clean and prepare data for analysis. This includes removing errors, identifying outliers, and transforming data into a format that can be analysed.
  • Prepare daily / weekly progress reports; compile monthly / quarterly reports and other necessary reports as per requirement under the supervision of the National M&E Manager.
  • Preparing reports for the project stating trends, patterns, and predictions using relevant data
  • Support to Evaluate data to develop useful and insightful information from a variety of data sources. Communicate results effectively to all concerned staff/consultants under supervision of National M&E Manager.
  • Provide support to field units for verification and validation of MPR / QPR with the source documents.
  • Provide support in compilation of national monthly and quarterly progress report with supporting source documents to National M&E Manager.
  • Provide support to field units in improvement of data quality with support of National M&E Manager.
  • Preparing final analysis reports for the stakeholders to understand the data-analysis steps, enabling them to take important decisions
  • Support in preparation of data set and presentation for periodic project review.
  • Perform other relevant duties as required by the National M&E Manager.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Certification in Data Analytics is a plus.
  • Minimum three years work experience on MIS, Monitoring & Evaluation in the public health and HIV fields with progressively increasing responsibility.
  • Knowledge of HIV field, governing bodies and recent developments in the HIV field
  • Any professional certificates related to data management or M&E.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Working knowledge of google sheet.
  • Familiar with indicators and reporting requirements.
