A consultant is a person who's an expert in a particular field who gives professional advice to individuals and businesses in their area of expertise, usually on a temporary or contract basis until a particular need has been met. Companies hire consultants to: Get an objective, outsider opinion on processes or systems.

Primary Responsibilities include

  • Strengthen FP and Urban Health system in the assigned TCI cities.
  • Ensure close monitoring of planned FDS at all urban primary centres, Civil and district hospital by CMHO and other key Nodal officers.
  • Prepare and share Facility wise, month wise uptake of services including detailed analysis of method wise uptake of FP service from HMIS and ensure traversing of programmatic FP gaps of the assigned cities.
  • Facilitate in development of Master coaches within Health Department for coaching and mentoring support on Family planning at all levels and their meetings on regular intervals.
  • Conduct UHCCC meetings on quarterly basis to strengthen FP services and Urban Health systems.
  • Form and strengthen Data Validation Committee at facility and city level to review and ensure timeliness and accuracy of reports of HMIS and other portals.
  • Responsible for integration and prioritisation of FP services in newly operational U-HWCs.
  • Coordinate with Health department for operationalisation of proven high impact intervention on Family planning and Urban Health.
  • Plan and review with Family Planning Nodal Officer, Urban health Coordinator/ Manager and other Key Officials regarding uptake of FP Services- Facility wise and method wise using HMIS and FPLMIS.
  • In Close coordination with Health Department, ensure operationalisation of self- monitoring tool on FP at facility/ City level and ensure traversing of programmatic gaps.
  • Support all Quality Initiatives of health department (Kayakalp/ NQAS/ DQAC).
  • Facilitate, in Coordination with city health officials, formation/ regular meetings of Jan Aayogya Samitis (JAS).

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Leadership ability, including the capacity to set and manage accountability of self and others.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, orally and in writing in English and Hindi and to make effective presentations to the communication team.
  • Approving Authority (for the work as defined in the Scope of Work).
