1. Provide Policy and Programme support for National Programme for Prevention and Control of Deafness (NPPCD) as required at National and State Levels.

2. Support and coordinate with State NPPCD Division for programme implementation.

3. Ensure training and technical assistance to States/UT in rolling out NPPCD components.

4. Undertake periodic field visits to States and Districts to review programme implementation in the States, identify implementation challenges and support Districts/States in charting appropriate solutions including enabling linkages with technical support institutions.

5. Undertake analytical documentation of NPPCD progress for better planning, implementation and policy modification as required.

6. Contribute to development of programme specific operational guidelines; undertake research to write technical and policy briefs, training material, reports, case studies, monitoring checklists/protocols etc.

7. Identify best practices and innovations within States/UTs for documentation and dissemination to other States/Districts.

8. Undertake planning, implementation and performance monitoring of NPPCD Division activities.

9. Mentor and monitor Technical Assistant/Program Assistant/ DEO in the team and provide support to ADG(NPPCD).

10. Undertake such other assignments, which may be assigned by from time to time by the seniors.
 

Computer Skills: Proficiency in commonly used packages like MS Word, Excel, Power Point. Ability to use internet to for desk research, literature review and accessing other relevant documents.

Excellent data analytical skills, documentation, communication and presentation skills

Excellent oral and written communication skills in English & Hindi.
