Carnegie India is seeking a communications intern, with a background in mass communication or journalism to work for a period of four- six months starting 1 September, 2023.

The intern will primarily be responsible for supporting Carnegie India's communication team in organizing Carnegie India's flagship summit, Global Technology Summit 2023.

The Global Technology Summit (GTS) brings together industry experts, policymakers, scientists, and other stakeholders from all over the world (in-person/virtual) to deliberate on the changing nature of technology and geopolitics.

The intern may be assigned administrative, editorial, research, coordination, writing or organizational tasks to provide overall support to the summit as well as Carnegie India's Communications team.

The interns will work closely with the communications team to update the Carnegie India website, assist in coordinating events across programs and managing the center database, and creating social media marketing collaterals.

Primary Responsibilities include

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

 

  • Excellent writing skills
  • Strong computer skills, with knowledge of HTML and Content Management System (CMS)
  • Strong graphic designing skills and experience working with Canva
  • A strong aptitude for social media
  • Possess the flexibility and enthusiasm to manage multiple tasks, work under pressure, and meet deadlines
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to coordinate with various teams
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team to solve problems and complete tasks in a diligent manner
  • It is desirable that the candidate has video editing skills.
