About Job Profile

Communication/Information Management

Support the Senior Manager of Communications in internal and external communications. Provide additional capacity and support to the program team. The Fellow will report directly to the Senior Manager of Communications and collaborate closely with Program Team members including the Chief Program Officer.

Primary Responsibilities include

  • Highlight two positive stories of change from the intervention areas of PHIA every month
  • Showcasing constructive engagement with different stakeholders
  • Identify good practices /initiatives undertaken under the pilot project
  • Bring out voices of demand and supply side (service providers and citizens) on implementation of various development schemes to the last miles.
  • Highlight major events of the organization related to the Zero Hunger Panchayat Concepts
  • Timely highlight of issues/stories related to food, livelihood , nutrition and social security.
  • Constructive engagement with Panchayat, blocks, district functionaries for better understanding on the issues.
  • Participate in training, workshops, meetings as assigned by the organization which would be help in content development

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Thorough understanding on social issues of the state of Jharkhand
  • Government functioning for implementation of government programs
  • Familiar with the working culture of civil society
  • Prior experience of handling similar assignments in print as well as digital media.
  • He/ She should have good connections in media sector.
  • Good writing skills and should be sensitive towards the people , administration and should align with the organizations’ mission and vision.
  • Familiarity with local dialect will be an added advantage
