About Job Profile

Project Management/Coordination

We are working to help transform the lives of children from underprivileged backgrounds by giving them access to a better education.

One of the ways we work towards this is by improving the infrastructure in government and low-income schools to provide a better learning environment for the children.

The Associate/Senior Associate (Ignite+/Infrastructure) will be responsible for inspecting the project sites, monitoring progress, and compiling reports on project status.

Primary Responsibilities include

 

  • Visit and support infrastructure need analysis for the schools and NGOs
  • Effectively manage projects using project management tools and ensure timelines of the project are met
  • Gathering data, compiling reports and delivering presentations/documents to the relevant stakeholders.
  • Visit and monitor projects and maintain good working relationships with School management, Government departments, contractors, and vendors
  • Preparing cost estimates and ensuring appropriate materials and tools are available and the desired quality is achieved
     

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

 

  • Good interpersonal and communication skills – English & Hindi
  • Good computer skills – MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint – Essential
  • Goal oriented professional with excellent team management skills
  • Problem solving and critical thinking skills are required
  • Having a two-wheeler - desirable

  • Reporting to:  Assistant Manager – Ignite+ (Infrastructure division)
  • Designation: Associate/Senior Associate
  • ExpectedAge: 25 - 30
  • Location:Bangalore (Willingness to travel locally and nationally frequently for school identification & assessment, work inspection etc.,)
  • Willing to work flexible hours
  • Remuneration: Based on the candidate’s profile

Ignite: Transformational Education
Ignite is Bhumi's supplementary education programme for under-privileged children. The programme is delivered during the weekends by over 2,000 trained Bhumi volunteers. Over 10,000 children are benefiting from the programme in 2015 across 12 Indian cities with the aim of providing children with quality education to enable them become responsible and productive citizens of the future. The programme consists of English, Mathematics, Science, Robotics, Computers, Dance, Arts, Sports, Mentoring and Life skills support.

Catalyse: Transforming Citizenry
Catalyse consists of Bhumi’s civic initiatives that engage volunteers in causes like animal welfare, community welfare, disability, environment, health etc. The programmes consisting of one-off and regular volunteering activities engage over 10,000 volunteers each year in over 15 cities across India.
