Assistant Project Field Supervisor Save the Children 2023

About Job Profile

Research and Field Work

The field supervisor's responsibilities include ordering equipment that is necessary for the project at hand, scheduling delivery of the equipment, and reviewing the equipment budget to ensure that there are no-cost overruns. You should also be able to train and mentor field staff.

Primary Responsibilities include

  • Lead project implementation micro planning with state and partner NGO project team & Direct Implementation Team. 
  • Responsible for a practical, realistic, detailed project implementation process planning regarding Livlihood & Lifeskills that is understood by all state project team members
  • Review project implementation plan every month and do necessary course correction
  • Do yearly, quarterly and monthly cash flow in advance with state finance focal person and share with Assistant Manager, project office lead and National Support Officer (NSO) project lead
  • Closely working with District & Block Level Different Stakholders those they are working on Livlihood & support to our Project Team.
  • Orgniozing veriuos Skill based Training which are support to Livlihood Pillar
  • Support for increasing banking Services and Social Protection Scheams in Field area.
  • Closely monitor & Direct Implementation & partner NGO expenditure every week and Month.
  • Track and report project activity, timeline or expenditure related major concerns immediately to project office lead and NSO project lead
  • Supervise project team’s activities through regular field visits, reports and review meetings
  • Organise project review meetings with & Direct Implementation Team & partner NGO project team.
  • Design the course and contextualise existing materials on online cyber security to meet learning needs of children, parents, teachers and SMC members.
  • Impart training to different stakeholders and integrate technologies in the learning process.
  • Development of quality reports of training programs and ensure documentation of all the activities and send it to PC & State Programme Manager, Bal Raksha Bharat (Save the Children, India) for its timely submission.
  • Support the Project Coordinator & Assistant manager at the State Level in designing pre and post training assessment tool, maintain MIS and reports of training.
  • Support the Project Coordinator & Assistant Manager at the State Level in finalising content for IEC and awareness on online Services & Implimentation of Social Protection Scheams .
  • Provide technical inputs and help in strengthening the advocacy initiative with relevant stakeholders.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Accountable that project activities are executed as per expected project objective, outcome and plan.
  • Accountable that all project expenses are done as per organisational standard operating procedure and donor guidelines.
  • Ensure a quality project delivery as per expected output and outcome through appropriate planning, regular monitoring and high level of activity process awareness.
  • Coordinate across cross-functional teams at state and NSO level to meet the project requirements.
  • Plan project related deliverables of other functions on time – such as advocacy, communications, administration – and provide support as necessary.
  • If required, proactively ask for support from project office lead and NSO project lead for cross-functional coordination.
  • Primary responsibility to establish and maintain strong relationship with district and state level relevant departments.
  • Establish and maintain relationship with other project related external stakeholders such as banks.
  • Primary responsibility to ensure project reports are submitted on time every period as per project team and donor timeline and requirement.
  • Oral and written Language skills in English and Marathi.
  • Experience or knowledge of working and living in relevant regions/contexts.
  • Livlihood & Humanitarian programming experience will be preferred.
  • Positive Attitude and high energy.
  • Maturity and emotional balance.
  • Tact and sensitivity to the needs of others.
  • Adaptable, flexible, proactive and innovative.
  • High level of professionalism in conduct.
  • Ability to work long hours under pressure and respect tight deadlines.
  • Willingness to abide by SC BR’s Code of Conduct and Child Safeguarding Policy.
