About Job Profile

Fundraising and Partnerships

Reporting to the Deputy Director - Partnerships, the Managers/ Assistant Managers – Partnerships shall be responsible for achieving fundraising targets from corporate donors, in alignment with the fundraising strategy.

The role focuses on pursuing new funding opportunities aligned with BRB’s geographic and thematic priorities and on positioning the organization among potential donors, as the leading child rights organization in India. The role also helps deliver donor management strategies for current and new key accounts, with a focus on identifying opportunities, positioning BRB for responding to the same, and securing funds.
 

Primary Responsibilities include

(1) Achieve annual fund-raising targets (multiyear grants) by identifying, approaching and procuring funds from potential donors;
(2) Maintain and strengthen existing donor relationships, lead donor servicing and proactively pursue the renewal /scale-up of existing grants;
(3) Map, assess, and build relationships with, as well as pursue new domestic donor opportunities in alignment with the fundraising strategy;
(4) Develop presentations and customized collateral for prospective partners/ donors;
(5) Facilitate the proposal development process;
(6) Serve as a bridge between external donors/ stakeholders and internal teams. Facilitate donor visits to project areas and the participation of the project team in donor meetings/ events;
(7) Utilize available tools for fundraising and participate in capacity-building initiatives;
(8) Support grant negotiations as necessary and work with the Award Management team to ensure orientation and handover to Programme Operations, Programme Support, and Finance, of Awards functions of new grants as well as a clear understanding of accountabilities for trouble-shooting and addressing implementation issues;
(9) Identify events, conferences and speaking engagements that raise the visibility of BRB and its work among potential donors;
(10) Identify other innovative ways of fundraising, particularly through cause-related marketing, workplace giving, and employee engagement partnerships;
(11) Ensure provision of sustained and irregular working hours during events, emergency response etc., as necessary.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

(3) Strong negotiation and influencing skills;
(4) Strong analytical and numerical skills;
(5) Strong results orientation;
(6) Excellent communication and presentation skills;
(7) Excellent knowledge of Office IT packages: Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

Gross compensation budgeted for the position is attractive. Please note that the offer made to the selected candidate shall be commensurate with qualifications, experience, and salary history.
