About Job Profile

This is a remote position.

We are transforming India through volunteering with a vision of making volunteering a national habit. We are looking for someone passionate about promoting a strong culture of volunteerism and civic responsibility among the citizens and youth in the country.

The Senior Manager, Bhumi Catalyse will spearhead Bhumi’s movement of making volunteering a national habit and be responsible for leading the setting up Bhumi civic volunteering projects in a sustainable and scalable way across causes in the country. They will also be responsible for strategizing and managing the programme nationally to scale the programme 10x over the next 2-3 years and towards 1 million volunteer hours in 2023-24.

Primary Responsibilities include

 

  • Promoting a strong culture of volunteerism and civic responsibility among youth in the country
  • Increase volunteer activation among youth through building strong volunteer leadership, project leadership and collaboration with institutions, organisations and partner NGOs
  • Lead, coach, nurture employees and volunteer coordinators/leaders into a high-performance team.
  • Build systems, processes, culture, and the team (employees and volunteers) to support the programme with a focus on continuous learning, improvement, and rapid growth (10x over 2-3 years).
  • Engage all stakeholders in shaping shared goals, strategies for the programme to maximise impact & reach
  • Consistent evaluation of the program and its framework to ensure sustainable, accelerated movement towards the vision of Making Volunteering a National Habit

  • Ability to drive outcome-oriented plans through the team’s collective effort
  • Strong influencing skills, people engagement, networking, and listening skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; a persuasive and passionate communicator with excellent interpersonal and multidisciplinary project skills
  • Forward looking thinker, who actively seeks opportunities and proposes solutions
  • Emotional maturity to empathize with the perspectives/needs of team members
  • Strong IT skills and aptitude for adoption of digital technology
  • Highly resourceful team player, who is self-driven
  • Willingness to travel – locally and nationally

  • Reporting to: Associate Director, Catalyse
  • Designation: Asst Manager to Senior Manager, Catalyse(based on candidate's experience)
  • Expected Age: Below 40
  • Scope: Full-time, Willing to work flexible hours
  • Remuneration: 8 LPA to 10 LPA - Based on the candidate's experience
  • Expected Joining Date: Immediate
  • Minimum commitment: Two Years

Ignite: Transformational Education

Over 10,000 children are benefiting from the programme in 2015 across 12 Indian cities with the aim of providing children with quality education to enable them become responsible and productive citizens of the future. The programme consists of English, Mathematics, Science, Robotics, Computers, Dance, Arts, Sports, Mentoring and Life skills support.

Catalyse: Transforming Citizenry
Catalyse consists of Bhumi’s civic initiatives that engage volunteers in causes like animal welfare, community welfare, disability, environment, health etc. The programmes consisting of one-off and regular volunteering activities engage over 10,000 volunteers each year in over 15 cities across India.
