About Job Profile

To prepare and maintain accurate accounts.
 

Primary Responsibilities include

 

  • Verify vendor invoices and supporting documentation and process vendor payments
  • Document financial transactions by entering accounting information into Tally ERP software
  • Payment and filing of monthly and/or quarterly returns of tax deduction at source, provident fund, profession tax, and goods and services tax
  • Process monthly bank reconciliations
  • Process staff advances and expenses and all relevant documentation
  • Handle day-to-day petty cash expenses
  • Generate monthly reports for management
  • Maintain organised and meticulous records
  • Adhere strictly to deadlines
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding all financial matters
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor
     

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

 

  • Computer proficiency and working knowledge of Tally software
  • Excellent organisational and record-keeping skills
  • Proven respect for and ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Alignment with PETA India’s philosophy and the ability to advocate professionally for PETA India’s positions on issues
  • Commitment to the objectives of the organisation
