Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts   receivable, general ledger, and taxes

Manage day-to-day accounting operations and ensure that there is a redundant process backup in place for every critical   operation

Create new internal accounting corporate policies and maintain existing policies

Manages the accounting staff who are responsible for financial reporting, and budget preparation.

Processing Bills/Invoices 

Verifying billing invoices, distribution, and follow-ups for payments

Scrutinize travel and project claims

Documentation assurances for all transactions

Manage Imprest & advances

Establishes internal controls and guidelines for accounting transactions and budget preparation.

Oversees the production of periodic financial reports; ensures that the reported results comply with generally accepted   accounting principles or financial reporting standards.

Responsible for tax planning throughout the fiscal year; files annual corporate tax return.

Audits accounts to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations; coordinates with outside auditors and provides   needed information for the annual external audit.

Assess current practices and procedures, and make recommendations for improvements

Presents recommendations to management on short- and long-term financial objectives and policies.

Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements.

Establish and maintain fiscal files and records to document transactions

Operating as the lead point of contact for any and all matters specific to your accounts

Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned.

Sound knowledge of working principles and practises of accounting.

A professional certificate in Public Accounting (CPA) or Chartered Accounting (CA) is preferable.

Exposure to non-profit organizations desired.

Strong problem-solving skills and impeccable attention to detail, timeliness and accuracy.

Ability to speak, understand, read and write in English.

Good computer skills e.g. MS Word, PowerPoint, MS Excel.
