About Job Profile

This role to ensure statutory compliances and report on a timely and accurate manner by accessing systems, data, polices and deliverables. This role will take the lead in continuously developing reports towards statutory compliances, audit requirement/s, dashboards and reports in variety of areas that enable Line Manager to timely assess Financial data and to make informed decisions on next steps.

Primary Responsibilities include

Statutory audit compliances

  • Preparation of Balance Sheet along with supporting schedules in audit format – separately for both FCRA and NFCRA funds.
  • Prepare of Income and Expenditure accounts along with supporting schedules in auditor’s format – separately for both FCRA and NFCRA funds.
  • Prepare Receipt and Payment account along with supporting schedules on monthly basis – separately for both FCRA and NFCRA funds.
  • Ensure timely compliances of government return/s including FCRA, Income Tax, CSR Act and Society registration Act.
  • Ensure timely payment of statutory dues like TDS, PF, ESIC etc.
  • Update of Month-end check-list on statutory payment/s and creating analysis towards timely payment of statutory dues.
  • Creating analysis to monitor - FCRA expenditure are with in government approved limits
  • Reconcile the donor reports with SAP towards update in Schedule-1.
  • Preparation of Donor wise Receipt and Payment account for the period.
  • Support in preparation of other schedules and audit documents – as and when required by Line Manager.

 

Support in Internal audit and Donor Audit

  • Ensure compliances in all financial transactions are as per Plan’s Operational Manual / norms.
  • Ensure all financial transactions are with-in approved budgets.
  • Arranging documents as and when required by auditors.
  • Ensure timely Income Tax Assessment/s.
  • Creating analysis to monitor and track Creditors & Debtor with ageing
  • Review of Debtors towards timely liquidation of advance/s including NGO partner advances.
  • Review of Creditors with aging analysis and it’s liquidation.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

 

  • Strong understanding of NGOs accounting and Government of India compliances (i.e. FCRA norms, Income Tax Act, CSR and Society Registration Act).
  • Knowledge of Power BI and SAP preferred.
  • Strong critical thinking, conceptual and analytical skills.
  • Experience in statistical analysis and data mining across multiple systems and technologies.
  • Good knowledge of and previous experience of project management lifecycle, key elements of project planning and governance.
