Bengaluru, February 12, 2023: Samsung Semiconductor India Research (SSIR) has announced their partnership with the Department of Collegiate and Technical Education (DCTE), Government of Karnataka as part of its flagship CSR program “Samsung Innovation Campus”. The partnership will enhance technological skills in Internet of Things (IOT) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) for more than a thousand students and teachers in 37 polytechnic colleges across 30 districts of Karnataka.
This initiative is part of Samsung’s commitment towards the Government’s Skill India initiative. The collaboration will provide hands-on training and access to cutting-edge technologies to students in the rural areas.
Samsung Semiconductor India Research (SSIR) is a part of the global network of Samsung Electronics for providing component solutions, featuring technologies in the areas of System LSI, Memory and Foundry.
Samsung Innovation Campus (SIC) program, a global citizenship initiative aims to foster innovation in IoT and AI and aimed at skilling GenZ’s in new-age technologies thereby enhancing their employability. The SIC program is also aimed at igniting a technological revolution by offering students training through comprehensive understanding of the latest technologies.
The program will include all the adequate facilities, required kits, and equipments along with IoT and AI based training for students as per the SIC module. This will further enable an ecosystem of innovation for students to thrive and help them develop industry-capable skills as part of their learning curriculum. Under a multidisciplinary approach, students will be provided with a space to solve local problems through practical experience working in the field of agriculture, healthcare, manufacturing, water, and energy management.

Students will go through theoretical as well as practical applications as per course module and will go through assessment during and after the completion of the course. At the end, students have to prepare the project in the final stage. Certificates will also be given out after reaching a certain level of the training.
