New Delhi, May 12, 2026: Hero Future Energies, in association with Raman Kant Munjal Foundation, hosted the third edition of the Dr. BML Munjal Social Impact Awards 2025–26 at the India Habitat Centre in New Delhi, recognising individuals and organisations working across education, women’s empowerment, sustainability, biodiversity, and community development.
Instituted in memory of Dr. Brijmohan Lal Munjal, Founder and Chairman Emeritus of the Hero Group, the awards aim to highlight grassroots leadership and community-led initiatives addressing social and developmental challenges. The event focused on individuals driving local impact through long-term engagement and collaborative action.
Speaking at the ceremony, Rahul Munjal, Founder & Chairman, Hero Future Energies, said, “These awards, in memory of Dr. Brijmohan Lal Munjal, have become an extension of his vision and our commitment to social welfare. Real change does not begin in boardrooms, it begins in classrooms, villages, and everyday lives.”

The event also featured a fireside conversation with Neena Gupta, who spoke about resilience, reinvention, and individuality, reflecting on her professional journey and the importance of authenticity.
Award recipients this year included individuals recognised for contributions to teaching, education, volunteering, women’s empowerment, sustainability, water conservation, and biodiversity. Among those honoured were Pushpa for Outstanding Teacher, Naveen Yadav and Dr. Neelam for Outstanding Alumnus, Saroj Devi and Neha Chauhan for volunteering initiatives, Ketan Deshpande for education, Wg Cdr J S Bhalla (Retd) for teaching excellence, Bindu Vinodhan for women’s empowerment, Vimal Panjwani for sustainability, Dilipbhai Sakhiya for water conservation, and Saurav Moni for biodiversity efforts.
Hero Future Energies stated that the awards continue to strengthen recognition for grassroots social leadership and reflect the broader belief that sustainable progress is driven by purpose-led initiatives, collective action, and long-term community engagement.
