Special features of the organization
The Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Narainpur, a Branch Centre of the Ramakrishna Math & Ramakrishna Mission, Belur Math, Howrah, West Bengal along with its five (5) Service Centres inside Abujhmarh jungles has been rendering welfare services since its inception in 1985 for the Hill Marias , one of the poorest and most primitive Tribes in India, residing in Abujhmarh of Chhattisgarh to eradicate illiteracy, ill health and poverty. The Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Narainpur covers more than 2/3 (two-third/ 200 out of total 265 villages) of the Abujhmarh (4000 sqr. km.) with its welfare activities. , , The Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Narainpur runs - , A residential Higher Secondary School at Narainpur with 1143 (1055 in Hostels and 88 staff wards as day-scholars) students at present, , 2 residential Middle Schools and 3 residential Primary Schools with total 638 Students in Abujhmarh, , A 30 bedded Hospital at Narainpur with OPD, Pathology, X-Ray, USG, Dentistry, Blood Bank, Physiotherapy etc. (all free of Charges for SC & ST and nominal charges for others), , 5 health posts in Abujhmarh, , A Tribal Youth Training Centre (Vocational Training), , An Agriculture Training and Demonstration Centre with 52 acres of Land, , Agriculture Extension Projects, , Sustainable livelihood Projects, , Divyayan Project, , Integrated Rural Development Project, , A free Coaching Centre for 1200 students (Class VIII, IX and X Students), , A free Computer Training Centre for 450 students etc., , All round Development (Education, Health, Nutrition and Culture) for 400 kids (06 to 12 years), , An ITI with 10 trades for 300 boys, , 181 Anganwaries and Mini Anganwaris, , Abujhmarh Health Outreach Project covering 213 villages through our 181 Anganwaris and Mini Anganwaris. , 3 Nutrition Rehabilitation Centre. , , We gladly share our humble achievements with you all and cordially invite you to visit our Ashrama at your convenient time. In last 31st October 2010 The Prestigious Indira Gandhi Award for National Integration for 2009 was conferred upon this Institution.
