Special features of the organization
HIMWATS SAVIDYA has been contributing to innovative Atal mission type work through facilities already available in Community Digital Learning and Skills resource Centre (CDLASRC within Govt. Middle Primary School Complex Kulethi) since 2008. The equipment for learning by doing was prepared by Dr. Harish Verma of IIT Kanpur for our N.G.O. in Champawat. The excitement of students through Hands-on-do-it yourself mode by students has interested them. The additional equipments suggested for Atal Tinkering laboratories (ATL) will add to the present efforts. The suggested idea under Atal Tinkering laboratories (ATL Applications emphasises the concepts of Science Technology Engineering & Maths (STEM). This STEM concepts has been practiced in USA where the STEM Schools send their students for training and collaboration in advanced concepts to good Research Laboratory during Vacations. This concepts has been modified for our adopted govt. Schools in Champawat under the motto SCEM and beyond ; meaning the understand concepts on Science, Computer, English, Maths & Other subject like Literature, Music, Art, yoga, Culture. Which are included in this modified concepts of SCEM beyond meaning The additional equipment under ATL Programme will extend and encouraged do-it-yourself learning . The knowledge micro controllers boards, sensors, 3D Printer, computers, robotics in rooms with video conferencing facilities will be both useful and Interesting for the students. The seeds for ATL type work in our adopted govt. schools have already been introduced by Dr. Atul Pant, CEO Time less skills London UK since may 2015. Activity Plan : Extending our HIMWATS SAVIDYA work in four adopted govt. schools Middle Schools (Kulethi, Kharkkarki, Dungraseti) & Higher, Secondary Schools (GGIC possibly GIC) using Tablet Assisted Teaching. Funds Other Sources: AFE SiV (Please see ashanet.org, Himwats.org and Small Step foundation Fremont +Indian for Collective Action ICA , USA have been supporting our HIMWATS activities for Last Several years. Involvements of Teachers: Principals Smt. Rekha Joshi from Khark-Karkee will be In-Charge in Govt. Schools. Other principals with Teaching Staff have been supporting our activities. From Himwats side Ret. Prof. Dr. H.D. Bist. IIT Kanpur will be In-Charge of the work prof. HD Bist., ( litk ) has served as Secretary of the NGO and was able to get support from regional, local, national and International Intellectuals. The other mentors have been Prof. from IIT Kanpur-Dr. H C Verma who prepared 120 experiments for Savidya Himwats since 2008 and arranged training of volunteers from Champawat. Dr. G. B. Bisht will continue support our NGO.
