State Program Officer- Tribal TB Piramal Foundation 2024

About Job Profile

Project Management/Coordination

To play a pivotal role at the national level for managing and coordinating activities and translate learnings of Tribal TB prevention & care from the districts and states to the national level across, liaise with the various Government departments under the aegis of the Tribal Health Collaborative for the fulfilment of the overall objective, support the government departments particularly Central TB division, Ministry of tribal affairs with the technical support including data intelligence &  insights, coordinate with the THC in initiating/ organizing/ participating in national level events on Tribal TB, build capacities of the State and District level teams to engage with respective stake holders, provide strategic input for Communitization , State Capacity Building and Innovations to the key personnel of the  project – Chief of Party, Technical Advisor, Research Monitoring Learning Evaluation Lead.

Primary Responsibilities include

1.      Operations

  • Oversee the implementation of activities in all identified districts as per the work plan through the district teams
  • Support District teams for monthly and quarterly activity and tour plans
  • Ensure the activities are executed as per the plan and desired deliverables achieved
  • Support district teams in stake holder management at their levels

 

2.      Stakeholder Management

  • State NTEP
  • State Tribal Welfare dept
  • State officer of any other relevant departments-PDS, WCD, SRLM, RDPR, Industries, Mining
  • State NHM
  • TRI, NGOs and partners
  • Represent Piramal Swasthya/ Tribal TB initiative at state and public forums

 

3.      Technical Support to State NTEP and NHM

  • Support state and district NTEP in preparation of TB Free District Action Plans
  • Gap analysis and solutioning
  • Health system strengthening

 

4.      Recording, Reporting, Supervision, Review

  • State Project data
  • District-level data
  • Onward sharing with central team and state NTEP
  • Regular online review of District wise Tribal TB initiative activities
  • Identify gaps/ challenges/ sub-optimal performances and flag them with district teams
  • Provide constructive feedback on a regular basis
  • Onsite visits to districts
  • Progress review and implementation of TB Free District action plans

 

5.      Oversee the following through the District Program Officer and District Program Coordinator

  • Coordinate staff schedules, training, and onboarding
  • HR and Admin management of staff
  • Ensure compliances with all policies

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

 

  • Ability to coordinate with multiple government departments and state level stake holders
  • Ability to share knowledge and learnings across varied forums at state-level and to National team
  • Ability to identify best practices and suggest innovations
  • Ability to train and hand-hold he state and field teams
  • Ability to manage a team of 20 or more

  • The incumbent should be able to join the duty station at the earliest

 

Travel : Medium to High (travel to the State Headquarters, National Research Institutes, Field visit to States and Districts)
