Program Management:
- Oversee implementation of the SAHELI program.
- Prepare and manage a dynamic project implementation plan, in consultation with key team members and government.
- Undertake supportive supervision of block-level teams in routine implementation of planned activities. A total of around 45 team members are expected to be part of the program.
- Ensure mapping of school dropped out girls, reaching and engaging them in the program.
- Ensure quality of planned interventions and activities, by facilitating adequate capacity building of team members, regular supportive supervision and timely feedback from beneficiaries and key stakeholders.
- Facilitate community engagement and resource mobilization.
- Ensure accuracy in program data collection and reporting.
- Undertake documentation of the program for internal learning and donor reporting purposes.
- Engage with government and donor(s) for program planning, review and reporting.
- Facilitate day-to-day project management tasks including financial management, human resources management, procurement and office administration.
- Engage with Program Directors of Education, Health and Livelihoods at AIF for consultations on technical needs of the program – including curriculum, pedagogy and implementation strategies.
Government Engagement and Relationship:
- Nurture existing relationships with the government officials and decision-makers at state and district and block level towards ensuring co-operation to program activities.
- Work towards AIF representation at government committees at the district and state levels for sharing learnings from the program and contribute to planning & budgeting of government initiatives.
- Proactively engage with state and district governments and relevant stakeholders for program sustainability and scale-up.
Monitoring and Evaluation (in co-ordination with LEI team at AIF):
- Coordinate with government in seeking approvals for conducting baseline, mid-line and end-line surveys, and needs assessment studies, as necessary.
- Facilitate district and state level meetings to disseminate findings from the periodic evaluations.
- Facilitate internalization of program theory of change (ToC) and key monitoring and outcome indicators.
- Facilitate development and consistent use of data monitoring tools/MIS by all team members.
- Generate periodic reports on progress with respect to key monitoring and outcome indicators.
Human resource (HR) hiring, management & contracting:
- Proactively plan human resources needs for effective program delivery.
- Draft Job-descriptions and participate in the recruitment process of HR.
- Consultancy contract management for consultants to ensure 100% compliance and zero deviations w.r.t organizational & legal compliances. Ensure contracts are up-to-date and duly approved by Leadership before human resources are deployed.
- Set annual goals for the program team, monitor progress & performance monthly and provide timely feedback and support to ensure the team performs well.
- Adhere to all HR policies for project staff & consultants.
- Proactively support HR in project staff hiring & HR operations such as performance management, development, data, MIS etc.
Financial management, Budget monitoring, expense management & approvals:
- Develop a detailed operational budget for the program.
- Monitor and report budget utilization and program expenses every month.
- Local expense management including approvals, staff expense approvals, management of advances & reimbursements.
- Collaborate proactively with Finance on all statutory & donor compliances w.r.t program finances.
- Plan and undertake procurement of equipment, supplies, materials towards program needs as per organizational norms and procurement policy.
Communications:
- Share program updates and highlights from time to time including written notes & briefs, photographs & videos, presentations etc.
- Ensure success stories are documented and shared periodically for program communication through AIF social media handles.
- Facilitate field visit for any internal & external stakeholders including Leadership, Board, Donors, Partners and any other.
- Support in planning & execution of events, training for the program at the ground-level.
Building Partnerships and Resource mobilization:
- Network with alliances and other likeminded organizations for replication of the program.
- Support in proposal development and donor engagement, in co-ordination with the Strategic Partnership team at AIF.
Organizational ambassadorship:
- Adhere and maintain utmost levels of integrity & urgency towards all legal, statutory & organizational compliances that may be required internally or externally from time to time and as per prevalent laws and/or donor requirements.
- Work smoothly with peers and managers and receive constructive feedback well;
- Go beyond own deliverables to support others in the team or the larger organization where required;
- Maintain the highest level of respect & integrity towards the organization’s policies, goals and values.
