About Job Profile

Project Management/Coordination

The project will establish a system for AI enabled X-ray with the support of NTEP and NHM officials at state and district levels in Odisha. This intervention will be carried out in active case finding mode by decentralized deployment of ultra-portable digital X-ray machines with AI for screening of TB.

The field-coordinators recruited under the project, in addition to existing team of Tribal TB Initiative (PSMRI), will first map and then get involved with a network of Informal Health Providers (IHP) in selected geography to ensure early testing by prompt referral of presumptive TB cases to the nearest testing facility, cutting down the delay in diagnosis and missing TB cases.

Once diagnosis is confirmed, the NTEP can initiate treatment promptly. However, if the person with presumptive TB comes negative on sputum examination, but continue to have symptoms suggestive of TB, will be referred by IHP to undergo screening with X-ray AI on a designated day at the assembly point or nearest Ayushman Arogya Mandir (AAM).
 

Primary Responsibilities include

 

  • Overall field operations- implementation of project activities in districts, reaching the desired deliverables with district teams.
  • Stakeholder management-State NTEP, Tribal welfare dept, NHM, NGOs, Other relevant partners.
  • Health system strengthening.
  • Overseeing HR and admin management of district teams .
  • Providing onsite visit to districts.
  •  Supervising and reviewing state Project data, district-level data in coordination with data analyst and field team.
  • Supporting the Data Analyst in recording, reporting.
  • Regularly documentation of field activities.
  • Sharing of best practices, case studies, minutes of meetings, external and internal communications.
  • Facilitate trainings of field staff and Community influencers 

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

 

  • Experience in managing government stake holders at state-level
  • Experience in the TB program would be preferable
  • M&E related.
  • Experience in state-level work desirable

 

Other Information:

Additional Preference :

  • Understanding of State and District Health administration.
  • Team Management and logistics
  • Ability to manage a team of 10 or more.
  • Research paper publications
