About Job Profile

Project Management/Coordination

Facilitate activities relating to livelihoods planning, micro credit meetings, micro credit plan development, and CIF utilization among communities. Liaison for Service delivery of government entitlement and social safety net schemes in the cluster.

Primary Responsibilities include

 

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Establish and nurture relationships with key stakeholders at the state, district, and block levels, including Government agencies, non-governmental organizations, and community representatives.
  • Capacity Building: Provide guidance, training, and mentoring to the livelihoods team to enhance their skills and knowledge in integrated livelihood planning and implementation.
  • Community Coordination: Collaborate with community workers, project managers, and local farmers to develop and execute livelihood-related plans tailored to the needs of the community.
  • Curriculum Development: Design and implement a curriculum/module focused on livelihood and employability skills for farmers, ensuring relevance and effectiveness in addressing local challenges.
  • Natural Resource Management: Formulate strategies for the sustainable management of natural resources within the project area, aligning with project goals and objectives.
  • Facilitation and Monitoring: Facilitate the activities of Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs), Self-Help Groups (SHGs), and other community-based organizations, while monitoring progress and outcomes.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Prepare comprehensive reports, including annual, half-yearly, and final reports as per the need of the donor and organization, as well as content for pamphlets, brochures, and other communication materials to disseminate project learnings and achievements.
  • Capacity Development Events: Organize and facilitate various capacity-building and dialogue events such as trainings, workshops, and conferences to empower stakeholders and enhance project effectiveness.
  • Data Management: Oversee data documentation, record-keeping, and analysis, ensuring accuracy and accessibility of project-related information for informed decision-making.
  • Adherence to Policies: Ensure compliance with project policies, procedures, and ethical standards, upholding principles of transparency, accountability, and inclusivity in all project activities.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

 

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Ability to effectively engage and build relationships with stakeholders at various levels, including government agencies, NGOs, community leaders, and project target groups.
  • Leadership: Strong leadership skills to guide and motivate the livelihoods team, as well as to lead collaborative efforts with stakeholders towards achieving project objectives.
  • Project Management: Proficiency in project management methodologies to plan, execute, monitor, and evaluate livelihood-related activities, ensuring timely delivery of project goals.
  • Community Development: Knowledge and experience in community development principles and practices, including participatory approaches, community organizing, and empowerment strategies.
  • Capacity Building: Ability to design and deliver capacity-building initiatives, including training, mentoring, and coaching, to enhance the skills and capabilities of project staff and community members.
  • Strategic Planning: Skills in strategic planning and decision-making to formulate project strategies, prioritize activities, and allocate resources effectively to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, in English and Tamil, to effectively convey project objectives, engage stakeholders, and disseminate information to diverse audiences.
  • Problem-solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify challenges, develop innovative solutions, and overcome barriers to project implementation.
  • Monitoring and Evaluation: Proficiency in monitoring and evaluation techniques to track project progress, assess impact, and make data-driven decisions for continuous improvement.
  • Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing circumstances, manage uncertainty, and respond flexibly to evolving project needs and priorities.
  • These skills are essential for a Livelihood Coordinator to effectively lead and manage livelihood-related initiatives, foster community empowerment, and contribute to sustainable development outcomes.

 

Other Information:

Benefits: Gross Salary: 30,000 (depending on qualifications and experience)

Contract Period: Initially 1 year (Extendable based on performance)
